In response to questions about material in the WGII contribution to the AR4, the AR5 leadership team can provide the informal background information in the links below. The AR5 leadership feels that these statements accurately reflect the available information. Each statement is the result of an informal analysis, coordinated by the AR5 leadership team, with input from the AR4 author teams and co-chairs. The analysis is informal, and the statements are not official products of the IPCC, because the statements have not undergone the review and approval that is part of the official IPCC process.
